Background and Introduction
Dare Training Limited was set up in 1999 in Aberdare by its two directors, Howard Morgan and David de Chazal.
We had the simple aim of helping individuals and disadvantaged communities in Wales to raise their aspirations and develop their confidence, in order to achieve untapped potential, by engaging better with the opportunities available in an ever changing world.
Howard Morgan had over thirty years of experience in the public sector in government departments helping unemployed people access jobs and training programmes.
David de Chazal was a project director for an organisation called the Pacific Institute (TPI), a company that had been founded specifically to enable individuals and communities rebuild their confidence and self-esteem.
We have three main activities
(i) We work with policy makers and programme designers to ensure that Soft Skills are addressed properly within all programmes and services they provide for disadvantaged individuals and communities. eg. Soft Skills Distance travelled Toolkit currently part of DCELLS Self-Assessment process for Training Providers.
(ii) We offer a range of Learning Opportunities at our Accredited Learning Centre in Aberdare. See link to 'products'.
